Feed The Future Now: Mission 5 Billion Meals by 2020!

  • 27 May 2017

A movement for social change that aims to provide 5 billion meals to children by 2020, Feed The Future Now is based on the belief that every child deserves a nutritious diet, fulfilling education and a bright future. The movement will be launched on the eve of World Hunger Day – May 27, 2017 and will be flagged off by Hon’ble Minister for Women & Child Development, Smt Maneka Sanjay Gandhi. The launch will also be graced by Shri Amitabh Kant, Chief Executive Officer, NITI Aayog.

The movement is supported by Pepsico, Facebook, 92.7 BIG FM, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), Reliance Fresh, Nestlé, Viacom 18, The Lalit Group and PVR Nest. It aims to bring everyone on a common platform and commit to the cause of ‘Poshit Bharat, Shikshit Bharat’. Based on three pillars – Awareness, Nutrition and Education, the campaign will endeavour to create a rallying call-to-action and promote policy advocacy as well as behavioural change on the twin issues of nutrition and education.
